Forgotten Dad

Had I not known your face,
I wouldn’t have forgotten your phase.
Not even a moment you impressed me as a lad.
You are my forgotten dad.

You could have done at least the least.
Not to have torn families apart like a beast.
Is it? You or I. Who is bad?
You are my forgotten dad.

Have I not seen summer lilies growing?
Without a sun, withered and crippled.
Stricken with care and almost dead,
You are my forgotten dad.

Did anyone care to talk of your little son?
Shy and puny hidden under the shade of sun.
Left with nothing but a loaf a bread,
You are my forgotten dad.

Only to remember as a bad,
You are my forgotten dad.
